BTW, good luck to both teams.  Hope it is a fun, competitive injury free, well played game.  Safe travels to all involved.  Thank you to all the kilgore posters lighting up the message boards. It's been fun.

This will be a fun game. This will be a tough game for both teams, but when dogs don't eat for a couple of days even insects can't keep them from devouring there prey. Good luck to both teams I have my bags ready, and the car full of gas. This will be a game to watch and the ticket price will be worth part of my SS check. The Jackets will be tested from what I have seen from watching many different games this year. They should be happy they don't have to play Navasota.

Navasota should be happy they aren't playing Stephenville. Put that in your big chief tablet.

I think that Sville's D doesn't get proper credit.  I know they give up some points but they are a stingy bunch and tough as nails.  They might even show Kilgore a little bit about playing team D.

“We’ve got a physical defense,” he said. “We’ve got speed, and we’ve got talent.”-kilgore db Benny Colbert

thats exactly what Lufkin players said before their semi final game against SLC(2005)...to a man, the panthers were bigger and faster..they had Dez Bryant to boot..the Dragons made it look easy in a 46-28 win(without a mobile QB)

How many of your district rivals are still in the playoffs? Just out of curiosity, what happened to the Ville in the Monterrey Prepa Tech game?

Glen Rose got beat by Graham
Alvarado got beat by Gatesville

Graham and Gatesville are playing each other in the Div II quarter finals.

Prepa Tech, they were not prepared.

Let them Bulldogs keep thinking the Jackets 1st team defense gives up lots of points. That stat would be very different than the total points we have given up per game. If you look at when the 2nd and 3rd teamers start playing (in most games in the 3rd and 4th quarters) after the offense has already scored 40 to 50 points you would see the REAL stats. Look at points given up in the 4th quarter and it tells you we have already backed off and are not running up the score and letting the younger guys get valuable playing time. It is a given that you can make stats say anything. I'm sure the Bulldogs have a great team and a great defense but if you asked anyone from Abilene Wylie before the game last week what kind of defense they have you would certainly have gotten the same comments...great defense, haven't given up over 20 points all year. Wonder how that turned out?? Tomorrow night will tell whose the best team and can't wait!!!
LET'S GO JACKETS!!!!!!!!

Dont know much about east texas speed but, the ville does know about east parker county speed. They have seen speed for the past 4 yrs in doing a good job of limiting the greatest texas high school running back in the past 50+ yrs. . Sville has seen the motherload of ALL TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL RUNNING BACKS.

East Texans prefer to llet our athletes do the talking. As a matter of fact, you've been watching many our products play on Saturday and Sunday.  From the days of Earl Campbell, Adrian Peterson, Bobby Taylor, David Overstreet, etc.  By the way, we won't charge you for the entertainment my friend, our gift to you.
