my brother-in-law played QB for the sandies in the mid 90's and his dad was head baseball   coach there for many years so i've seen several amarillo games scattered over the past 10 years or so.  They're consistently disciplined, physical, and well coached.  This will be a tough game.  Should be a good one!

I hope i end up sounding like an idiot in hindsight (wouldn't be the first time), but i think the wing T will give us some trouble.  That's the type of offense that can make a defense really tired.  We need to have several long time eating drives on offense and take care of the football.  S'ville 24 Amarillo 21

best i can remember the last time we faced this coach he was at burleson running the wing t and he beat us both times. once 3-0 at the ville in the rain and the other time at burleson on a terrible call at the end of the game. our DE got tired in the last game and i agree it will be more of the same if we don't start some kind of a rotation on the D-line.

maxfield was the HC at forney when i was there, got beat in state championship in football and baseball that year, both by la grange...
guess he is still running the same wing-t as he was back in those days...

Yes the defense got extremely tired. This is my only con and why I stayed out of the 2 way player discussions. There is plenty of capable back ups on the sideline that can be used. A perfect example would be the back up corner that played well last Friday.

Sville this year reminds me of the power house teams of the 90's.  I think they have more than redeemed themselves for the BS loss to Monterey.  They beat the #2 4A team and the #2 3A team which I believe will be the the two toughest teams they will face until the playoffs.  While I like Amarillo I do not believe they are a match for the Jackets.  I feel Coach G and the players gained a level of confidence not seen in Sville in a number of years when they beat Aledo after the loss to Monterey and, baring injury, is a good bet to win their 5th SC.  I'm sticking with my previous prediction of S 34 A21 and that's being conservative.

AHS will have too many weapons for the Jackets to handle for four quarters.
AHS 17 Jacks 10

I'll give you a hint "It's going up the middle"
