I was told the automated system will not accept registrations from free email clients such as yahoo, gmail, hotmail, ect. You will need to use an email such as one on a work server or an internet service provider email account. I used my cody@stephenvilleyelowjackets.com email. You will have to use a valid email like that from work or similar service.

If you dont have one of those type of emails one of the mods said they might be able to manually activate your account if I can vouch for the person.

They do this to help stop spammers from creating multiple IDs and spamming the message boards with ads and other stuff

Here's the reply I received from Val Brown at the site

"For security reason our website automatically kicks out free email accounts (gmail, yahoo, hotmail. AOL). You have to register with your email account provided by your internet service provider. Try again with your ISP email. If you continue to have problems let me know and I will force you an account manually."

Since my hotmail.com account is the ONLY email account that I have, I guess I won't be a part of this site.  :(

CanFan who is your internet service provider (ISP)? Century Link, Northland, Our-town? Any of these providers provide a free email account with their internet service. All you have to do is go to your ISP website log in or create an account then create your free email account with your ISP. It is very easy. Old Green has also said you can PM or email him your info and he will manually create you an account.

They will create an account using your gmail, hotmail, etc manually if you request it and say you are coming from SYJ.com...

Mine was done lastnight using my gmail account.  Just email the admin your email address, username you want and location.
